Ever since i got my auto top up unit from gemsurf, i realize that my it takes just a day to finish the water in the storage holder. ie:4l of water evaporation per day,

tank is a 4 x 2 x 1 with a 3 feet sump, no cabinet.

wonder if the evaporation is normal or a bit on the high side?

the weather nowadays is very hot, thus do expect evaporation rate to be higher

ok i think mine is becoz enclose room too. once chiller kick in whole room damn hot got to open window....

My tank needs daily top up of 1.5l..I think cause our tank surface area very big. I do have lots of surface water agitation.

hmm...ok looks like mine is reasonable than...surface water agitation more than urs + no cabinet.

My evaporation rate is about 2.8-2.9l daily, this is because I have 3 wavemakers pointing towards the surface thus super high evaporation rate. If the wavemakers are not pointed to the surface, my evaporation rate can cut by 1l daily.
