Yes you can. But wait till the salt is dissolved before adding to your tank.

I don't understand. We either use NSW or Salt Mix. Why add Salt Mix into NSW? Won't that increase the Salinity excessively?

Usually,Nsw is a bit low in salinity.

If it is to increase salinity, I guess you could do that. But I feel NSW is saline enough as it is. It is afterall the real thing, the real sea water.

If it is to increase Ca and Mg, with that limited amount (in terms of %) of saltmix added, it won't increase your Ca or Mg much. You might as well dose Ca and Mg additives.

I'm still a newbie, but that is just my feel.

NSW good enough, no need to add salt to increase salinity if for fish only tank. my sixth sense.
