Is clam safe from flameback or flame angel

I have a clam that is growing bigger by the day in my tank and my flame angel has never shown any interest in it.

i wanted to get a flame angel too but was told that they may peck on clams...just a may but i dint want to risk it

Not sure about Flameback but my Flame angel never shown interest in my clam. I guess if you feed them well, it shouldn't be a problem

My clam of abt 6mths died soon after adding a flame angel. Never seen this fella pecked on the clam thus cannot confirm whether its the culprit

Is s gamble But should Ok if well fed. Check the mantle to see have nip mark ?

Yes, need to gamble, just bought a flameback last thurs. let's see. Anyway my clam is i a high flow area that even the pbt dare to go in that area.

My experience. with Flame, Flameback & Joculator r very safe from clam.

Normally they will only peck when the clam is already not in good shape.

I have 1 Derasa (2 yrs) and 1 maxima (1.5yrs). They have lived with Koran (1.5yrs), flame (1 yr-died during change to new tank). There is also 1 flame back ( 2months) and 1 cherub introduced into the tank. So far no sign of being nipped. Sebastian

My 27 litres tank is shared with 2 clams and a flameback angel for more than 5 months. My 56 litres tank is shared with 2 clams and a flame angel for more than 8 months. Both have no problems. The only times my clams died so far were when the clams were already not healthy soon after introduction.

I'm not sure if the size of the fishes matter though although both my fishes are smaller than the clams.

had my clam for abt 2 months. Flame angel of 10 mths was already inside.

so far no nipping spotted.

my flame nip on one particular clam and left the other 6 alone... there after the clam is back to normal ...
