agree with what bro chercm is saying but head ro/di also have to waste money in order to get the pure water leh bro

I understand what u mean but think another way if your corals kept dying and algae are always on the rocks and in the morning before work u see your tank how would u feel ?

i tried some distilled water brands, but they either want to me purchase the dispenser machine or won't do for private usage.

i saw some bro managed to buy distilled in the 19l jerry can, care to share the info please.

You can DIY as well, but the saving not much, just buy 2 set of 10" filter cannister and get the fittings and tubing together with the activated carbon. Estmated around 90-100 bucks. Then buy the ion- exchange and re-fillable catridge. Total around $150.

Bro, save your money.

Just buy an internal filter (medium size one). It will cost probably only $20-30.

Buy coffee/tea filter bag from Daiso ($2)

Buy DI resin and Carbon

Fill 1 filter bag with DI resin and another bag with carbon. Put in both in internal filter.

Run the filter in tab water for 24hours (used a TDS meter to make sure that the reading is close to zero).

1 bag of DI resin (abt 10x10cm bag) normally good for about 40l of water. As for carbon I change every 2-3 months.

I have been doing this since day 1 :)
