torch polyps dropping out

the polyp of 1 of my tourch branch is dropping out of the 'socket' of the skeleton. The 'meat' is not dying but will not stick to the skeleton. I tried to put it back gently onto the branch buit it will not stick to the surface and after a while it will just flip over to the side exposing the calcium skeleton. Auyone knows how to make it stick bck?

It can't and it won't.

Polyp bailouts are either a sign of stress or it could be budding off as a seperate colony.

Can you show a pix?

Maybe too much current on that angle.

hmmm.....not so sure about stress or current cos that particular polyp is right in the middle of the other torch branches and the rest seems to be doing okay.....and the region has very low current but anyways will try to get a pix..

It happen to mine also, the coral has been with me for more than 1 year already. Could it be due to lack of certain trace elements? Don't think is due to current as i have not move it ever since I bought.
