Sea Fan Skin stripping

Hi

Has anyone ever have ur sea fan skin stripping once in awhile? Is it normal? previously I had my yellow Tang to eat it up for me. But then my Tang suddenly disappear, not sure is it attack by my 3 stripe damsel. Till now I dare not buy another Yellow Tang. So, any other way to clear the skin? Hope some advise please. Thanks

It's mucus production to remove debri that has settled on them. Place it in an area with good water circulation and it should produce less mucus.

FuEL, I think u are right. Recently I've bought a sleeper goby that can help me clean my sand, but it create alot of debris cycling in my tank. Yes, Since then I do notice the sea fan producing alot of mucus.
