Current parameters as follows. MG coming up a tad too slow I feel

Sg: 1.0235

Calcium: 425

dKH: 10.2

Mg: 1170

Still haven't gotten down to measuring nitrate and phosphate though. Thankfully no signs of any new tank syndrome like hair algae, diatoms, red slime etc yet. Keeping fingers crossed and using that as proxy when it's really urgent to test for phosphate and nitrate

Current husbandry:

1) Change 5% water every 2 weeks. Too lazy to mix on salt water. Buy pre-mixed water from aquamarin now. Believe they use Fritz salt and RO/DI water

2) Clean skimmer cup every 4-5 days

3) Daily dose of 60ml C balance A and 60 ml C balance B and 120ml of Mg solution (mixed myself with the MgCl salt from Iwarna). I'm dosing at intervals of 1 hour using the bubble magus dosing pump

4) Weekly testing of parameters like Mg, Ca, dKH and SG for now

5) Bi weekly topping up of fresh water reservoir with distilled water from NTUC

6) Clean glass tank and observe all corals and fishes everyday. Think that's the best test.

7) Most painful part of my maintenance is to climb up the ladder to put back toppled corals as I try as far as possible not to epoxy them. Almost every other day, something sure topple . Haha. Tiring!

Nice thread! For a moment I thought I went into RenoTalk forum  I like the theme of your renovation and the choice of colours. It seems that light coloured wooden grains is the 'in' thing nowadays.

Your tank's laminate colour is also my favorite. Nice!!

Not much changes to my tank except a few new purchases... Including 2 nice monti digi frags from Joe and a derasa.

Thanks Joe for the tip. Will be running by to your place more often next time for those stable stuff!

The new green digi. Nothing too fanciful but love digis due to their fast growing attributes and enhancing the scape of the tank eventuallypost-600-13756083887816_thumb.jpgpost-600-13756084030089_thumb.jpg

Sad to see the orange monti tip burnt after falling directly into the torch coral below. Should be on its way to recovery looking at the tissue covering over the dead parts slowlypost-600-13756090111509_thumb.jpg

Finally bought the test kits for nitrate and phosphate for a test as well. Pretty satisfied with current levels. Now the parameters are fairly stable, think I can make do with fortnightly testing before progressing to monthly tests:

Sg: 1.0245

Calcium: 425

dKH: 9.6

Mg: 1380

PO4: 0

NO3: seems like 0 to me. Didn't get a chance to do the low range test as I threw the test water away before I read about itpost-600-13756097275483_thumb.jpg

Droopy cauli. Wonder if the big piece is also breaking away as i understand that could be its normal reproductive method. I noticed a small branch also came out previously and got stuck under a rock work. Or maybe it is lacking some nutrients as it seems a little thinner lately as wellpost-600-13756099773214_thumb.jpg
