Not sure if you guys noticed, I made a major mistake of putting white tubes for the 3rd and 6th tubes. Which means

my 1st and last hour of light is white. But the dismounting and mounting of my light set from my cabinet is too shiong! Will just leave it as that and bear with it. Sigh

Think u shd use less white and more actinic and blue plus to give your coral better fluorescence. But nonetheless ur corals still look good!!

it was a mistake man. Then I realise also more blue and actinic will also be good to help slow down my coral growth. Haha. Never mind lah. Now we will see colours that's closer to reality. :)

don't change out all your tubes at once. your corals will get a shock.

thanks bro. I have already raised my light set higher before bringing it down again. Alternatively can also reduce photoperiod too. :) but I doubt the spectrum and lux will not have too drastic changes compared to new ones.

You guys are so amazing! It's always so inspiring and uplifting to see how fast everything grows in a well setup and maintained reef aquarium. Not to forget that your tank and water look so sparkling clean too! I was also made to believe that we shouldn't mix sps with softies because they share slightly different nutrient conditions but looking at your aquarium, I say it's definitely possible to keep both sps and nps happy at the same time! Well done bro!

Agreed with bro reef garden that your tank is really inspirational. Sand bed still got space, can load in more popular lps like Scolymia, Acanthophyllia aka prata. Lol

thanks bro for the very flattering comments. Actually I'm still struggling with some pockets of cyano on the sandbed but maybe not clear from photo. I do a stir up of the sandbed each time I change water though and of course... I do the back breaking task of scraping my glass before taking any photos. Haha.

Yup, LPS and sps can coexist rather well. Just need to know their characteristics. Julian Sprung and Charles Deelback(hope I got his name right) reefing books are really references!

oh no! Temptations! Haha. Been trying to control myself leh coz I thought if too cluttered might make the tank look very messy. Let's see how long more I can stay disciplined. Hahaha
