SRC Member nicreef Posted July 8, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted July 8, 2013 This will be a nice top view down tank, great for keeping some awesome looking clam !! u reminded me of my blue squamosa that died in just 2 week due to short circuit in office =( ya emphasized to tank maker no metal or pipe on top of tank except hanging kit for lights hehe wanted a clear view from the top which is why the return pipe is drilled through the overflow box. Maybe we should start a shallow reef club thread! got to tell boss above =) Mine counted or not...lol dunno lei 1.3 ft wor....lol =p
SRC Member nicreef Posted July 12, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted July 12, 2013 if you have seen the newbie thread you would have known that during this cycling, there has been no reading....decided on wed to wait 2 more days and see...unfortunately still no signs of spike...decided to take it as cycled. (standby a pail of mix salt water in case sudden cycling spike). tank is 95% done (5% because of wiring still quite messy). moved whatever was left of my lps and softies over as well as anemone (which got sucked to wavemaker within 5 minutes - but luckily still surviving....). Still a empty tank prolly going to buy more soon but waiting another week just in case. scaping changed abit from initally plan due to 2 reason 1. i want a better view from my desk 2. rocks broke after expoy (dunno why keep breaking right after where i epoxy). front view: back view: view from desk (can see my test and fragging station - once i learned how to - at the side haha) sump front: sump rear

The better solution I think but I have yet to try is to find a soft mesh to wrap the yuma or ric to a piece of small rock & tied it with rubber band. Let it stick to the rock on it own & leave it for a week before removing the mesh. Btw new toy! hope my yumas wont hate me for giving the tank so much flow.... removed my tunze 6015 and replaced it with a mp10 just in case my wp 40 stop working at least tank got flow. Was considering between mp10 and wp25 decided to go for mp due to the words of cedric (wp + mp = perfect 1 strong 1 wide) so decided to copy him lol
