Matured live sank

Hi every1,

It is ok to buy those matured live sand that Lfs sell. My dad saw them at Jireh and wanted to get some for his tank.

i was asked by my dad about this, and since im not sure i know there are some experts here who will know for sure.

Basically , he just scoop out of their tank and sell it as live I guess .

I use Carib sea live sand .

wont that cause a mini cycle if added to a established tank?

I guess it can be done as long as the staff scope mostly top layer of sand.

Get live sand and use to seed normal one.
