NSW or salt mix?

I am going to start a new tank OF 34L is it better to use NSW or salt mix? Use live sand 1 inch or bare bottom?

With NSW, very convenient if you have a car to go get from LFS. But there is this concern (not sure valid or not), about importing whatever parasites that may be in the NSW, if its not purified enough.

With Salt Mix, it is more hassle as you need to prepare the mix beforehand. But you are assured that there is no parasites.

Bottom line, it is up to individual preference.

Sandbed is basically for aesthetic purpose unless you intend to have a deep sandbed. Or if your inhabitants need the sandbed.

I prefer salt mix. But nsw gives faster cycling.

I start off with nsw.. After finish cycling i use salt mix.. Coz mine same tank as u.. Every 04days do a 1.5l water change.

Thank you all for your advice. Like to have shorter cycle time and the look of white sand. Still thinking... Tank arrive tonite will setup tmr.. For sand, is crush coral or live sand better? Any good brand?

Use nsw for cycling and salt mix for water change. Sand use dead sand will do
