Noop
Any recommendations for a small skimmer? Would a HOB skimmer be suffice?
idle69
So far the available HOB skimmer are from bubble magus, red sea primz and skimz..other brands not so sure..I used b4 de primz n bubble magus..primz sucks..bubble magus quite good..but I would, like all other reefers, recommend a proper in sump or out sump skimmer if space permits...anyway, bigger is better!! If u wan, take my primz, foc!!!
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted May 7, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted May 7, 2013 maybe you can share more of your set up? does your set up comes with sump? i assume it does not since you're asking about HOB.. can get the Bubble Magus E3 HOB skimmer. one of the best HOB around.. if got extra cash can consider deltec MCE series. rekian
Can consider Tunze nano DOC skimmer 9002
Endorrachua
Also in the process to setup a 40 gallons tank, i would rather get those second hand skimmer than any HOB type.
NemoFinder
I would go for hang on skimmer if there is limited space. If i have a sump, i like to opt for a oversize skimmer .
