Salifert test kit ALk reading help

Hi,

Been wondering which reading should i take. according to test kit instruction i should take the reading once it turns pink.

should i take it once it turns colour like this?

or till it becomes bright pink like this?

I take the reading from the 2nd picture.1st picture to me is purple colour.

I stick to the 2nd one. And always. <br />But according yo instruction, should take when first start changing color.
