Bro for me i also bought dead rock from ah beng but i'm quite kiasu.

I soak the dead rock inside RODI water for about 2 days before i let it air dry for about 1 week before using it.

Guess by doing so all pest should be gone as i believe thats the main reason for using dead rock.
