Hanging Light on false celling?

as above, i have a maxspect g2 170w and after weighing it, it weights just 5kg. i will be hanging this light set but problem is, the part which i wish to hang, is actually a false ceiling.. The real ceiling is slightly towards the back and if i were to hang from there, i will have to tilt my light forward cause the whole light will be shifted to the back..

I took off my ceiling light and it seems like the false ceiling is pretty thick with metal framing as well.. its pretty close to the real ceiling too.

Anyone hang their light on false ceiling?

Don't think it's good idea, might not be able to hold, any reefers with such experience?

Better not bro because false ceiling make of board forget the extact name. Cut a hole then pasta the false ceiling back yourself. Quite easy.

Bro, can DIY or buy giesman to do a wall mount otherwise can consider DIY rack or go DE for ready made rack. Hope this help.

Yes.. Cut through the partition board and putty it back later will be safer... U won't want your light in your display tank.

Thanks guys, will wait till new tank arrive then see if the maxspect bracket can cover the 4x2ft..

U have to cut ur ceiling board and place a piece of wood on ur false ceiling then hang ur light using the wood as anchor. Remember to put the cut out ceiling board and buy the ceiling filler to restore ur ceiling to its original look.

anyone know where to find similar wall mount to the giesemann wall mount? giesemann is too expensive for me.. ikea have?
