Accidentally dosed medication into main tank :(

Just now blur blur.. dosed medication into tank instead of liquid food . Now my anemones looks burnt.. .. one of it have a part bloated. I hope its ok .

some fin rot medicine which I bought last time for my freshwater fishes. Think its oceanfree brand for freshwater and saltwater.

Can spare some water from my main tank if you're near by. Then I take the chance to change some water.

wah.. you stay so far.. .. no need lah..Thanks anyway. Changed all my carbon packages.. put in lots of matrix carbon just in case.. .. I heard ocean free stuff not very strong so I think should be ok.. I think..

how big is your tank and how much did you dose? I think not too serious lar and I don't think ocean free finrot contains copper. Heng ah you!

2 feet tank. Dosed abit less than the stated doseage.

Yah.. I think no copper. Usually only the ich one got copper..

yes.. I know I know.. I read the instructions.. followed the instructed dosage.. tot that its watery when dosing but still carried on.. then after I realised.. .. think I really need sleep...

Its a very strong solution! The last time I used less than the prescription, all my discus wiped out within few hrs. I posted in qian hu web but nobody can advise me, even their admins.

my advise, change 100% water like what I do to my tank. If u stay at jurong west, I can immediately help u out with my spare tank.

a burnt mark on anemone? its in bad condition. or u can get someone near ur place to temporary save ur anemone by placing into his tank. but must wash first with clean salt water.

thanks very much guys... I think quite ok now.. The one I'm using not strong lah.. Used it on my FW pufferfish last time and still no effect.

Anyway one anemone opened up liao... the other one still looks burnt but opening up abit.. Tube worm and jewel coral not affected my the dosage. Fishes all fine..

Update when I saw my tank this morning. Everything thats alive is still alive and swiming.. ..

BTW anybody knows why my mandarin goby turns pale in the morning? .. It seems to be only in the morning when it just wakes up. Thereafter the colour comes back.

it's normal cause by doing this way they r not that shining at nite thus enable then to rest and avoid gatta been prey at nite.

well one day for you to see if at nite when u switch off your light.. u can see it become pale...

i think this apply to other fish that has shining body cause i know cardinal also do that..

How true indeed, many reef fishes turn pale or adopt colouration with black bands to break their outline and escape detection...many predators like the lions, eels and white-tip sharks hunt at night. BTW, mandarins are also known to secrete a poisonous mucus to avoid being eaten, a customer's panther grouper died after swallowing and later expelling one such fish! And good thing you have matrix carbon, if not, store up some Polyfilter, they will absorb chemicals and change colour.

yah man.. whack in 2 packs of those brandless carbon and almost 1/4 bot of seachem matrix carbon.. better be safe..
