is there still alot of space on the rock it was growing? i noticed zoas that has fully grown covering most parts of the rock, will stop growing. Whereas those that still got space to spread sidewards will continue to do so.

my magician too also grows very slowly. Not sure if that's the case for this type.

the others when there is space will glow steadily onto the empty lots...

i have no problems with my fire and ice, in fact they spread quite fast. Maybe perhaps its different species of Zoas.

So anyone else have experience with fast growing zoas and not so fast growing ones?

my mohawk zoas spreaded from 2 polyps to 6 polyps in 2months + time, my stardust frag from 1 polyp to 4 now in the same time.

smaller polyp zoas seems to grow much slower.. got a frag of unkown small polyp zoa only grew 2 new polyps.

i am not sure if i am correct, but from my experience if you want bigger polyp you will place the zoas nearer to the lighting, and smaller zoas will be further away from lighting.

Somehow, i think zoas do better when they are place higher with moderate flow.

Guess mohawk and stardust grow at a rather moderate pace.

i place my zoas touching a rock by the side. very soon it will extend base over.

So i guess Zoas dont grow downwards , sidewards are probably the best..
