Day 2 of my setup :

Didnt have time yesterday to take a picture, hence took in this morning and decided to start a thread here to keep track of my tank and receiving feedbacks.

I agree that the way i scape my rocks in ugly though. But all comments,feedbacks,suggestions are WELCOME!

Your scape looks ok, dun worry as long ad u like it.

It will dress up nicely with corals. Big caves too for fishes to swim in and out.

Scape is alright. Not ugly at all. Try pointing the return pvc pipe and the wavemaker at each other to create a random flow in the middle session. If you are going for more sps, add 1 more pulsing type wavemaker on the left to attain great flow. Rest is how you control your bioload vs your nutrients export. Have fun

i've 4 frags, 2 BN and 1 monti doing well, 1 BN STN till half the frag gone, trimmed and polyp starting to extend..

Seniors, i would like to know how come is there a layer of white coating inside the pail of di water after mixing the salt? Made my tank really milky now..

How do u mix? Using hand only and leave overnight or use a powerhead to aerate the mixture? And some brand of synthetic salt take longer time to dissolve.

Just read that i am not suppose to add the salt mix directly into my tank which i just did just now. Wont repeat thid silly mistake anymore... Btw im using coral pro. Water slowly clearing up. Just dose microbacter 7.

No wonder. U need to prepare di/ro water beforehand and mix the right amt of salt to achieve correct salinity. Then use a pump or powerhead to aerate the saltwater mix for a day before adding in to your tank during WC.

Haha bro,I made the same mistake too when I first started. No livestock in your tank yet so not so bad.

Hahaha ... Woke up in the morning, and realised that my tank water is very much clearer already. Dosed microbac 7 this morn also. Also after the water change and washing the biorings(Using tank water) hope to see my no3 level drop.will test my no3 tmr as i just did a water change last night ..
