rainmalawi
Hi, I have one 2 inch and one 1.5 common clown (i do not know the actual name but its the nemo clown that cost $2 each). They live happily together without fighting although they are not introduced into the tank at the same time. Recently, i got myself a 1.5 inch true percula at a much higher price. This new clown chase after the 1.5 inch nemo right after I put it into the tank. This goes on for a while and I can see some bite marks on nemo. Next, I put the true percula into a separator. Are all true percula clowns more aggressive than the common nemo or mine is an isolated case? I like the true percula as the color is richer and if the aggressiveness does'nt apply to all true percula, I may want to try another piece. Thanks. SRC Member iskay Posted April 1, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted April 1, 2013 Yes, percula are generally more aggressive than ocellaris. Better if they are introduced at the same time else bound to have some fighting to establish hierarchy. Quote "Be formless... shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. roystonyap
I had 3 common clowns too, as they are already in tank for a few months, any advise on how to introduce a true percula into the current tank without them fighting ? Please advise. Thank you!
