Very high tank water level

Wanted to make my tank like those ADA rimless tanks with high waterline almost to the tank brim. Initially planned to have a 1cm gap of water level from the brim. But I miscalculated the return pump flow.

Right now my water level is abt 4mm frm the brim. Anyone done this before? My tank is an IOS so I don't see any reason how the water will overflow. But I'm still skeptical about the water level. Any inputs or advice from bros here? post-13947-0-99671600-1363499588_thumb.j

I don't plan to add any wavemaker as the flow from return is sufficient. Using the eheim compact 1000. If I set the rate to 600l/h, the waterline drops to 1cm but flow is not strong.

Thanks for the reply. The tank is only 24cm deep. Placing hand in all the way is fine. Will be using tweezers anyway. Have you known anyone who has setup this high before?

Thanks for the advices guys. I will make the water level remain as it is for now unless someone points out something really negative abt that setup. The tank doesn't have a hood so like clement_jr suggested, will avoid fishes who tend to carpet surf.

My rimless is maintained at about 8mm, and time to time a find tickles if water on the outside wall. Maybe caused by fishes. Just have to clean every time. Though I have a wavemaker.

I second this, and my water level is about 1" from the top. I would suggest adding an acrylic sheet to prevent fishes from jumping and water spills. You can never be too careful with reefing.
