Method of introducing new fish in to tank

Hi all,

I am wondering how your all introduce new fish into tank. For me, I just leave the plastic beg floats in my tank for around 10 minutes and then release the fish. The LFS advise me not to mix the salt water inside the plastic beg with my tank water because this will containminate my tank water. Is it true?

not only that, some places put their fishes in copper dosed water, if they have someone inexp. there and accidentally packed your new fishes in them, your tank water will be containminated with copper, and it will kill your inverts and corals

whenever i allow the bag to float on the water, all my fishes in the tank will go mad.
