SRC Member Firestarter Posted March 11, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 11, 2013 Anyone here have yellow polyps and managed to keep them bright yellow? When I bought mine, it was bright yellow and now it has turned to a dull bronze colour. Did a search online but had conflicting results... some said it need high lights and the other threads say to put them in low light areas. Attached is a pic of when I bought them. Bright and sunny yellow. So high lights or low lights? Please advice. SRC Member clownfish_forever Posted March 11, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 11, 2013 I dont have much success with these yellow polyps - for some reasons they withered depsite placement under good lights. After which I did some research, some sites suggest that although they can receive food through photosynthesis, apparently they need more food supplements as compared to zoas and mushrooms. SRC Member christan1959 Posted November 27, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2013 They are some of the easiest polyps around.I believe the pale yellow is not the natural colour. U can tell how happy polyps are by how much they extend their "tentacles".
