Best fish to test water??

Hi,

may I know what is the best fish to test water?? 6 ft tank set up liao, sand, rocks, water n sump tank running for 3 days already.

Pls advise.....

But if you are referring to what kind of fishes are hardier.... then could try the clowns, chromis....

I don't think using a fish is a good idea. How's the idea of you swimming in you own bio waste?!?!

Get some test kits: NO2, NO3, PH, KH, Ca

Cycling takes time: ~ 2wks to a mth. depends on lots of factors

Just dump in a market prawn or 2, let them rot and stink. Do not change the water.

smelly, but effective and cheap.

Until NO2 has become 0, and a very low reading of NO3. then can start slowly add fish n corals

Factors like are your LR cured/semi cured or uncured .....

Is your sand bed alive .. or are they new??

Reef size do have a impact too....

Frankly, if you have enough cured LR, live sand, proper skimmer and filtration, cycling can be really short..... mine took 1 week...... in fact start placing Life stock in the moment I set up....

Presently 150W but am thinking of changing to 400w.

Mine is a casing type MH with 2 FL.

I have two of these. One with 2 MH and the other with 1 MH. Both have 2 FL. Made in Taiwan. Cant remember exactly how much i bought it for. Can get it in most LFS. Am thinking of selling both of them though.
