HiHammer head dead?

hi,

i just got this hammer head from the lfs last thurs (28/02). 2 of the head is opening up nicely but 1 of it did not. i thought it needed time but today, the head turned kind of jellish brown (attached photo) is it dead? if so what should i do? leave it or cut it off?

i've got the same issue the last time i had the hammer coral. Its the brown jelly disease.

Try dipping it in iodine solution every day and have high flow.. (doesn't work for me) i cut mine off in the end cos these things spread.

get rid of the infected area, it would spread.

u can use the garden scissors or plier-like scissors, dont know what it's called.

thx. not too sure why but it felt ouch haha. going to get the tool now. probably making a visit down ml and seek advice too since there is a large tool shop just there.

yup. just added 2 clowns today and within a few minutes they started swimming towards the hammer liao

just a question on my hammer. should i shift it or is it opening up good enough?

ps: not sure if u can spot the clown that is hosting on my hammer.
