SRC Member ryanlio Posted March 4, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 Great idea, though i got doubts how long the suckers can hold the weight... Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted March 4, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 maybe can modify to using aquarium safe magnet? great idea anyway! Quote EvolutionZ's Floating Reef: (Decommed) EvolutionZ's 4ft shallow Mixed Reef Build :
SRC Member Bulldozer Posted March 4, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 Surely it can hold the fake rock... The thing will only fail if the Rubber loses it's original form, hardened and fail to conform to the flexibility to suck. Just Replace the sucker. Kind of a good idea. Thumbs Up. The question is where to find such fake rock with flat surface on one side? And how much will it cost ?
SRC Member Xtrader Posted March 4, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 Not sure will the sucker fail, will update you guys. The rock is $16 bought at the aquarium shop next to Kovan MRT. The magnet is very expensive about $30 and you need 2 pcs. As long the sucker is of good quality it should be OK. The weight is not really heavy, I will load up the frag plugs and update you guys. Quote http://www.huatleow.com

SRC Member Bulldozer Posted March 9, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 9, 2013 I suppose the fake rock will be chalky when bought. What did you do to make sure it will not cloud or contaminate the tank water ?

SRC Member Bulldozer Posted March 15, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 15, 2013 Just curious... The Internal of the Fake Rock is empty. What is good to fill it up ? Sillicon - Poisonous in salt water ? If you leave it empty .... fish waste or residue may stay inside and rot right ???
SRC Member Xtrader Posted March 16, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted March 16, 2013 If you are worried about the fish waste, which I don't. Drill holes at the bottom to prevent the waste from trapping. Aren't your tank being glued by Silicon? Quote http://www.huatleow.com
SRC Member Bulldozer Posted March 16, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 16, 2013 Yes.... there are several types of Sillicon. Are all types Safe ? Or is there a specific type for Salt Water ?
