Take your time with water change and feed it with vitamin will heal eventually be patience bro...My emperror start HLLE last month and today is better almost healed just like 5mm scar that not really visible.

I will stay put with time & good pellets & vitamin.

I will not simply sell and get another one. Got feeling for my fishes one leh ... Just sell them away because of HLLE sounds bery 'Jiek Arc' ...

Yea that we are doing not only Jiek Arc and we also can learn more to cure them when encounter next time cheers

HLLE usually cause by long term running copper in a tank and long term running carbon in a tank also possible to cause HLLE ... Many ppl but not all of them successful treat HLLE with Octozin but me never try b4 ...

Correction..short or long term usage of carbon will not cause HLLE. I've been using it since after my tank completed cycling. The main cause is malnutrition or maybe stray electrical current.

As know tat HLLE mostly due to poor water quality but wat means "poor" ? lack or trace element , mineral , vitamin , omega , amino acid etc etc ?! carbon absorb many thing and finally the water lack of many thing tats fish needed ... have seen many ppl after stop using carbon and HLLE cured so from my experience tat long running carbon possible will cause HLLE ...

2 mths back, I put 1L of carbon (10x more than I usually used) into the filter bag after rinse it many times with RO/DI water, hope to remove yellowish water before CNY. To my surprise, 5 tangs and 4 angels got HLLE within 3 days and worsen in next 4 days. I took out the carbon immediately. Now 3 tangs and 1 angel have recovered fully while the rest recovering very slowly. For my case, I am quite sure the carbon is the culprit.

Carbon is not the main culprit..more to a lack of this, environment stress & so on.
