How to get rid of dust/sand particles in the main tank

Hi,

I have a lot of dust/sand particles in the main tank.

I do not have a sand bed but with a lot of rocks.

I bi-weekly siphon the dust/sand particles on the bottom, but each time i siphon, new dust and sand particles formed on the bottom of the tank.

I was been advise by the LFS to add more filter pad, but not much different when i on my wavemaker to full mode, all the dust particles circulate in the main tank.

are there other reasons why i am facing this problem? How can i resolve this and achieve a clear water in the main tank.

currently i run my wavemaker at the lowest speed to prevent particles from flying all over.

hope to get some clues and help here.

Thank you

Which lfs ask put more filter pad? As bro mentioned try use filter sock 200micron. Works better. Also ur wavemaker how u mount? Mount it in such a way that water flow constantly into overflow chamber. If more than 1 wavemaker must place them strategic. Sent from my Android using Tapatalk2

filter sock is always better then the pad unless u don have the space to hang the sock
