Each fish species have their own preferred anemone host specie/s. even if you get compatible specimens, there is no guarantee the fish will host. Your best bet is to get already hosted clown-anemone pair.

"Be formless... shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle; it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot; it becomes the teapot. Water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend..." - Lei Siu Lung (Bruce Lee)

Goniopora will be good.. although not the right one.

Its good that it doesnt move or get sucked in wavemaker and become anemone juice.

Tank Theme: Mixed Reef with clams

3 feet tank with IOS

Eheim 1262

K3 wavemaker x1

Lightings: T5 actinic blue x4 , T5 white x4

Skimmer: BMQQ

Artica 1/5

Dosing: NA

Reefing is sharing. People with rotten mouth is sure a loser for life as expected. When a tomato gets rotten, you can nvr save it.. Throw it away before it infect the good ones.

wat type of anemone is best for clownfishes? which lfs best to get it??

It depends on what clownfish you are getting. Like Iskay mentioned, different clown differnt anemone. The challange is the anemone, not the clown. You have to decide which anemone is suitable for your level of care. And are you comfortable with it roaming around, cos they tent to do so very often. Research more on anemones.

Clown fishes and anemones can survive without each other, so that's a plus.

thanks for all d info...i got an anemone from iwarna which is huge. its like the size of two palms when it opens. look like my orange clownfish seems straight away to host it but they became aggresive esp to a single black clownfish untill it start to hide behind some rocks. and d anemone like to stick to the side of my tank even after i place it on the sandbed twice. any idea how to make it stay on d sandbed and i like to frag it to make it smaller. juz way too huge for my 3ft tank
