Fish jumping out of tank

i run a rimless 3ft tank and have lost some fishes due to jumping. The latest victim is my kole eye tang that I've had for about 4 months :(

Are there any other ways of preventing fish from jumping other than adding a cover to the tank?

Buy fish that don't have a reputation of jumping.

If cant avoid jumpers, don't mix aggressive fishes to lessen jumpers being harassed to jump.

I don't have aggressive fishes in the tank, 2 clowns, 1 pink streak wrasse, tail-spot blenny and 2 anthias

Previously, I lost some anthias and wrasse to jumping. I'll go DAMA later to get acrylic to cover the top

I lost a wrasse, 5 Scissortail dartfish, think when lghts go out they were chased and jumped out of tank ...resorted to using egg crates to cover -sectioned into 3 peices....for my seven footer...but i enlarge the holes to allow more lights in

My Kole Eye Tang was the biggest & most aggressive fish in the tank, so maybe it was chasing another fish and accidentally swam too fast and cannot brake when he hit the water surface... :chair:
