hi all,

I just spent some money to buy a reef keeper's nightmare... a mantis shrimp! It is a smasher...or spearer? (gotta check again) and i think it is simply beautiful, like a peacock.

very hardy, but a bit dangerous, hope it'll not smash my tank, cos its real loud. 3 thumbs up for this animal, crustacean lovers will appreciate it!

How to cook it? Frying? I tried boiling one once and the insides turned to mush for some reason.

Coelacanth, if it smashes the tank, I doubt it will die if water drains out. if think it's a spearer.

That's a Peacock Mantis.... known as Odontodactylus scyllarus.

They are definitely smashers.....

Can't see very well on my company laptop but the shadowing is completely off, and definition-wise: the grain is not uniform, seems like just pasted over.
