My diy light stand

As I'm using a maxspect razor 160 which is 69cm long and my tank is just a 2ft cube.. Was planning to lay the light across the tank sitting on the glass. But after running for 2 days using 60% brightness.. Softies from the center of the tank seems to be stressed up by the too focus light.. Thus decided to diy a stand to raise it higher as the original stand was too long to be mounted and hanging was not allowed :(... Currently I've raised the light about 10inches from water surface.. Do u all think it's enough? Or must go higher? Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2

bro where you get them ? you Diyed the whole stand , as in the 2 perpendicular plastics to the light ?

I placed mine on top of a flat acrylic panel, but seems like it the acrylic gets dirty very often and it will affect the lighting entry to the tank.

Yes bro. I diy the whole stand.. The polycarbonate is from dama plastic.. And the white color thing.. Is actually some aluminium profile that can be slotted nicely onto a 12mm glass.. And of course.. The polycarbonate has to be 12mm thick too.. Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2

Thanks bro! I've used super strong double sided tape to tape the frame to the light set.. So its pretty stable(crossing fingers).. Haha.. Anyway for bros who is interested to diy it.. You just have to go the the aluminium shop and ask for 'u channel' and he will tell u the sizes available.. So u can get the one that's suitable for your tank thickness.
