Hi ! I recently got a linckia blue sea star as an addition to my tank about 3 days ago. however, ever since i introduced it to my tank, it has hid itself in a hole for the past 3 days and never moved an inch.

I am worried that there is something wrong with it or my water parameters, or is this normal?

Any bros here with experience on this sea star can give any advice?

my water parameter is as follows

Temp 26degrees

ph 8.5

salinity 1.023

dKH 7

nitrate 20

calcium 420

ammonia 0

nitrite 0

Thanks!

Inverts especially stars are very sensitive to sudden change in parameters, if you did not acclimate properly they will hide for several days. Sometimes they will even die in your tank.

If you notice that its limps start rotting away, its time to remove it.
