Yellow tang NEEDS?

aS ABOVE. i AM PLANING TO GET A YELLOW TANG FROM CF and what is the Basci needs.. Eating habit?? (Heard it needs alglae right) ANd does yellow tang change colour in the night? THANKS..

actually they do change abit of colour ...their mid body lightens in colour and a horizontal white line becomes very visible across their body

just make sure u've got big enough tank to give yellow tang ample space as tangs need alot of space to swim around, or else u'll be raided by our tang police.....

Do they need any algale. Should i buy some algale from CF too together with my YT .Read about that algale helps tp prevent the fadding of the bright yellow colour.

I have jst bought my yellow tang .. I feed it pellets but it never eat. what should i feed it ?

you can feed your tangs with romaine lettuce soaked in a cup of bolied water to soften the texture. my yellow and blue tang graze lettuce like hungry locusts everyday

you should be able to find it in any market

Nori soaked in garlic juice is an alternative. But not every YT will feed willingly. Got to my third YT before it feeds. First 2 just refuse to eat and wasted away. Watch their feeding antics at the LFS before selecting. Those that are greedier are the one you should choose.

My YT now feed on everything, frozen preparation, nori, live brine shrimp and cyclopeeze.
