Hello fellow reefer i'm currently in the mist of preparing for my new tank.

I have purchased a reactor and bio pellets which i will be running on my sump.

My question is whether do i run the bio pellet while cycling or deploying it after my cycling process?

Appreciate any help from guru out here.

Cheers!

My thought is actually not to run bio pallet during cycling since you want the bacteria culture to build up and this might cause the cycling cycle to be longer.

You can start running your bio pallet once your cycling completed and after doing a major water change.

Hope it helps

Yeah that's my initial thoughts as well, but after doing some research online it seems like there's no definate pertaining to this query.

You can run bio-pellet during cycling as bio pellet culture bacteria for the waste in your tank. But need to estimate amount of bio pellet as too much will cause your tank to be cloudy.

For tank cloudy issue i suppose shouldn't be much of an issue as i'm not intending to throw anything into the tank till i achieved my planned 2 months worth of cycling.

Many thanks for the kind advice by guru's here.
