Hi guys,

Well after some serious thought and planning I decided to upgrade a bigger tank for my ever growing giant clam. I got this T. gigas 6 years ago from a nice reefer, about 8” long, and now she is double in size and will outgrow the present shallow tank very soon.

New tank dimension will be L1200 x W900 x HT750mm, approximate 750litres.

Sump tank L900 x W600 x Ht500mm, 150litres. Total volume 900 litres.

For scaping is straight forward, rocks hills along the perimeter and leave lots of room in the centre for giga to grow.

Wave maker

2 sets MP40wES running at sync coordinated, using nutrient transport mode.

Main return pump rated 10000 L/h and chillier return rated 5000L/h.

After deduction of pump head loss I am looking at 8000L/h and that give me approximate 10 times turn over rate.

Supplement light- 14 nos Par 38 15W Blue. 210watt

Option 2

Main light- 2 sets Radion LED Total 260W

Supplement light- 14 nos Par 38 15W Blue. Total 210watt

Total 470watt
