- cut into 4 pieces to fit the 4sides.

- sand card board verticalyl to allow proper flow of water down from sprinkle bar around box.

- PVC pipes + drill small holes around pipes.

Really nice design bro... all four sides fully utilized instead of just hanging 1 in the centre.. algae growth looking real good !

Thx. That was the idea to max out the space.

In terms of weekly maintenance, used glass scraper to trim off the 4 piece algae plates and not totally remove the algae.

High bioload(10+ anthias), 2 tangs, misc fishes. I run cheato and red bamboo algae in sump. So far a happy reefer.

Btw the holes that sprays water from pipes require maintenance(I.e brushing to prevent clogging);

The bulbs don't get wet or salt spray?

Screen size depends on the ikea box dimensions.

I do get salt deposits.

I think salt creep is almost unavoidable in diy srubber build. I clean my splash guard every month. Just dissemble the whole thing and clean with freshwater. It takes less that 10mins.

Just a suggestion bro, if you tilt all the 4 plates at an angle instead of vertical, you can get more lights shinning on them. :-)

And also, you can wrap your bulbs with transparent plastic sheet bought from popular used for wrapping books. They will protect the bulbs nd washing is just unwrapping the plastic sheet and washing them!
