Painting my room...

My fish tank has an open canopy...

I am going to paint my room, is there anything I have to watch out for? Will the paint toxic fumes get to the fishes in the air exchange?

Remember to cover your tank w those canvas sheet. Newspaper may not be good as it will get wet with paint and you never know when it will give way.IMO....

actually if you are using a air pump or venturi skimmer the fumes might get into your tank due to the air intake... opneing your windows and give lots of ventilation by using a fan or two might help minmise the toxic in the air... my two cents

I think there are some brands of paint whereby the fumes do not pose much danger.....maybe can look around?

use natural paint. for green. try crushing spinach or lettuce in a mortar . mix 4 part solution with 1 part water etc. for yellow. try crushing sunflower petals and mix with chrysanthemums.
