Dear senior refeers,

what the best addicative or equipment to reduce No3?

Not a senior but If i may, the usual good husbandry like regular water changes, skimmer, bio filtration like live rocks and a good deep sand bed, macroalgae like chaeto will all help to remove nitrates. There's also Az-no3 and those carbon liquid dosing too. The best way is to still go by natural means like water changes and macroalgae is good. Using additives requires careful dosing and extra monitoring.:) what's your needs or issues u face?

Fresh fishes and inverts! What's next? To the salty side of marine of course!:)

I change my water weekly, with chaeto in my sump tank and I have a deltec skimmer as well.

My no3 is currently at 100.

Coral is not growing and some are dying....

Ezie Az-no3 where can i get it?

Aquamarin or u can ask uncle henry from Marine life if he has anything similar cause im using one for phosphate. Hmmm found the cause of nitrate? Like heavy bioload? How long has your tank cycled? Tried gradual changes like around 20-30% water changes daily? Tank size and inhabitants inside?

1 bule tank

2 true per

4 wase

tank cycle for around 3 mths, current tank is around 8 mths old.

Can try daily gradual water changes, maybe go for wetter skimmate and reduced feeding while dosing az-no3?

There is no need to change out the biopellets. The longer u run them, the more effective. U only need to add in new ones when u notice drop in the amount. IMO, i prefer to use a FR designed for biopellets. Using 800ml of biopellets currently with JNS alpha 2. NO3 @ 0 to 0.25. There are other good brands of FR out there.

For me,

Weekly water change 30percent of water. ( nsw from lck)

Run bio pellet.

Keeping cheato.

And secret weapon-vinegar dosing! (Very cheap and effective way, and sps coloring up!)

Do read up more at reef central if interested in vinegar dosing.

Vinegar dosing help to reduce no3?

Yes, ATS works. Reduced my NO3 to 0.68. Downside it consumes a lot of Ca. Dosing 80ml of Part A daily with additional separate 1 cup of Ca solution weekly, maintaining Ca at 380 and cleaning the ATS every 5 days. After switch to biopellets, my Part A reduced to 60ml daily, maintaining Ca @ 460. NO3 @ 0 to 0.25. Biopellets add a bit every monthly, but biopellets cost $100 for 1L. Both works. Cost and maintaining them are the 2 main factors here. Up to individual, what they are comfortable with. Water changes also works but for me, very tedious, unless yours is nano tank.
