help!!

i'm a beginner on rearing marine fishes... i need help! my soft coral is stuck on my filter... half of it was gone.... than i also heard that wen soft coral die they would release toxic which kill fishes is it true???will this kill my fish in my tank????

To answer you... what soft coral are you talking about?

How did it get caught in the filter.. and what filter is it?

Can you describe your tank & parameters?

Can you ID it? Depending on your water volume, it may not have enough toxicity to affect your livestock.

You can use carbon to absorb such stuff.

i hv the same feeling as well.... how can a soft coral stuck into a pump...

I have the same feeling that it is an anemone as well. One of my compadres also had the similar experience when his anemone "climbed" to the filter and was stuck. Think his tank was a 2 x .75 x .75 ft tank with OHF. It did contaminate the whole tank and most LS perished after the suicide attempt by the anemone.
