To answer you... what soft coral are you talking about?

How did it get caught in the filter.. and what filter is it? :huh:

Can you describe your tank & parameters?

Can you ID it? Depending on your water volume, it may not have enough toxicity to affect your livestock.

You can use carbon to absorb such stuff.

I have the same feeling that it is an anemone as well. One of my compadres also had the similar experience when his anemone "climbed" to the filter and was stuck. Think his tank was a 2 x .75 x .75 ft tank with OHF. It did contaminate the whole tank and most LS perished after the suicide attempt by the anemone.
