Help for water parameters

Dear fellow reefers. I need some help. I understand there are many different water parameters in a reef tank. I need to know how I can maintain lower or increase the diff parameter to be ideal. Lets say salinity should be 1.022 I could add more salt or water to increase or lower it.

I know I need to check

Salinity ideally 1.022-1.026 add water or salt

Calcium 380-440 dosing or cr

No2

No3

Mg

Ph 8.0-8.5

Can anyone help me. Am I missing any important parameters?

No worries bro. My water parameters are good. Just the mg is something I just came across. The rest all within healthy range.

Mg is important if you are keeping corals especially SPS

Mg needs to maintain between 1300-1500ppm, it's help to keep your calcium and KH levels stable and also help in coraline algae growth if I'm not wrong.

Hmm KH. What to do about that

What about mg?

Kh is the carbonate hardness in your water. It's like a buffer to prevent swings in pH levels.

Keeping it stable also means your calcium levels would be stable. And for your calcium levels

to be stable, you need a high mg like what bro admiraltian said, 1300-1500.

With regards to NO3/NO2, many ways to reduce it. Different bros here use different methods.
