Reef-safe Blue Throat Triggerfish?

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of getting a blue throat triggerfish. From available articles & chats on foreign forums, my conclusion is that it is a reef-safe planktivore. Apart from corals, I have snails & algae-eating urchins that I equally valued. In addition, I have a seagrass filefish. Would they co-exist peacefully? Would appreciate feedbacks from experienced reefers.

Yup...Had one... Never bothered my shrimps or snails.

Thanks Bro for sharing. Since my post on this topic, I had increased my livestock by another two fishes. Three days ago, I saw quite a few blue throat & pink-tail triggerfishes at Irwana. Didn't buy as I believe my tank is already overstocked & I wanted to increase my sps collection. Still, I appreciate the feedback which might benefit other hobbyists thinking of buying this particular specie of triggerfish.
