Scooter blennies

Hi people..just wondering if anyone has experience in getting sri lankan scooters to spawn or has come over any information with regards to spawning them.

I've had a pair for many months already. Everyday 45-30 mins before lights off they will start dancing and swimming to the water surface and swim back down.

But so far I have not seen them spawn. The female is always full in the belly with the male always being slightly concave in the belly.

I was wondering whether water height could be the problem. My water height is only 15 inches. Do they have enough water column to complete the dance?

Always something more important than fish.

Hmmm..you just have to make sure they are of opp. ######. Males have a raised dorsal fin compared to females and they tend to be bigger.

Weird how things just pair up in my tank..scooters, pipefish...and recently..even my fren's harlequin shrimp paired up with mine without any fuss (both of them same size!)

Always something more important than fish.
