Be aware of what this anemone really is when you buy it

I have read of several reports of this rather pretty anemone being purchased from an LFS in Pasir Ris. When I bought this myself some mths ago , I couldn't find the name for this anemone and somehow the auntie at LFS also couldn't tell me exactly what it is. It grew well and devoured food eagerly. Now I know why I couldn't ID it, because it is found in the pest section of books.

It is the majano anemone and I had to destroy them because they reportedly can multiply quickly and sting your corals. It is strange that it is still being sold, despite the potential risk. Just be aware how it looks like and buy them at your own risk.

They are pest. But if they are under control seems ok. I have a friend who told me it can help to reduce NO3.

He experience NO3 up after clearing his tank of the above mention pest.
