Can I suggest something? The horizontal beams is not strong if u mount it this way. Is better if it is sited onto the vertical beam.

This is my try out of moonlight I have with one 5w blue led.

Based on this, likely using two 5w blue led would be sufficient to cover my 4ft acrylic tank

Black acrylic sheets of thickness 5mm should be available at Ying Kwang ( jurong area ) or Dama ( Ubi area ).

As for glue, both shops also carry them.

The lens and PAR should have some relationship on the height as well plus the LED separation which lights crosses with each other.

I'm seeing that on my current one and will try to make some trial and error on the height with my current LED separation.

Getting the remaining sheet to cut out the remaining use for both side and also the back overflow compartment today.

Looking forward to kicks off the work pretty soon.
