SRC Member oceanviper Posted July 23, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted July 23, 2013 How much is the saving for this diy compare to custom made? Hi James. The cost will diff much as based on the material chosen... For the cabinet, I spend about SGD300 plus for the material itself. 1 Quote Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 ) Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7 Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 ) Compressor drop-in coil Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1 Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4 Chaeto in the sump

SRC Member oceanviper Posted November 18, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 18, 2013 The project stopped now at the completed cabinet will pending for the custom tank order approval release from my FTO. I have not taken any picture on the cabinet with all the side laminated with formica... Probably the next updates which I have would be in Jan 2014. This delay also due to my newly task and commitment to my families... Apologize for the delay. In fact I'm also DIY the lighting using LEDs aside from the cabinet. My main obstacles are relocating the current tank to new position as the existing position will be use for the new tank and also my piping and trunking for the compressor to my sump tank.. Material are mostly available but just to have the time for that major drilling and laying out the wiring plus the piping... All the above can only start after i have relocate my current tank. Probably i'll schedule to relocate my current tank in mid Dec. 1 Quote Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 ) Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7 Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 ) Compressor drop-in coil Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1 Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4 Chaeto in the sump
