Guys, I'm stuck between 3 lightsets for my 36cm long tank.

The depth is only 17cm which is really shallow. I'm currently using the AquaZonic Double Bright G2 which I find its too whitish.

Want to know if you guys have used any of these lightsets and judge by the 3 points:

1. Shimmering / ripple effect

2. No yellowish tinge

3. Brightest

Hope you guys can help. Really appreciated.

AquaZonic Super Bright LED (seems really good but no reviews from anyone yet)

what do you intended to keep? SPS or LPS or Softies?

What is the height of your tank?

For most SPS i think beamwork is not sufficient.

When choosing LED light, try not to go for warm light but bright cool-white light. ( best with cree light)

As warm light give more yellow spectrum, the PUR is low.

Yellow spectrum will promote more green algae grow.

AI Nano, very neat and nice design with powerful CREE LED  .

I'm sure it will be sufficient for you to grow SPS in nano tank  .

Thanks for the replies guys,

My tank is 36x22x17cm which is a very shallow tank. The water level is about 14-15cm.

The budget is about $70-$80, which is not too deep I know, but I don't want to spend a few hundreds on a light for a small tank.

I plan to keep LPS and softies.

LumenAqua mini seems like a good light. But is it bright enough?

Will have to give CREE LED a pass... Its too big and I can't mount it anywhere as the tank is in the office.

Just an update.

I've decided to go DIY and have not regretted it since.

Spent about $50 for 3 x 3W bulbs and adaptor. The bulb comes in a ready made package with consists of driver, base plate for the bulb and wires.

All I had to do was connect the wires to the adaptor, and stick the base plate to a heat sink.

Very very satisfied with and it even cost lesser than the beamworks clamp on.

I strongly recommend DIY for LEDS.
