Divided Wrasse

Dear reefers,

just happened to pop by a LFS today and happened to see a divided wrasse. just wondering after putting him in the main tank ,aftera few hours suddenly couldnt find him. is it normal for wrasse?need some pros advice. Thanks.

it is normal as they will usually hide in the sand when stress. if u are lucky, u be able to see him the next day. if not it may take weeks.

They sleep in sand too!! I got a Christmas wrasse and banana wrasse. Christmas hide into sandbed first and the banana follow after a few mins. Both took a few days before they appeared.

Don't worry they will be fine once they get use to the new environment.

do remember to feed them once they appear I'm sure they must be very hungry after going "Mia"

Woah. Thanks reefers for the prompt response. Heard from my family that this morning it actually came out for around 3-4 hours and then went back into hiding.

Will try again to see if tmr if it comes out will try to tempt and feed it.
