COE prices mostly rise; premiums for small cars, commercial vehicles h

SINGAPORE - Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for vehicles mostly increased at the end of the latest bidding exercise today, with premiums for small cars and commercial vehicles hitting a new high.

COE premiums for small cars (1,600cc and below) closed 0.12 per cent higher at S$77,291, compared with S$77,201 in the previous bidding exercise, which had been the highest-ever then.

The COE premium for commercial vehicles increased 1.9 per cent to S$60,235.

Premiums for big cars,( 1,601cc and above) continued to inch up slightly by 0.65 per cent to S$93,004. It's previous high was S$94,502 in August.

In the Open category, where COEs can be used for any vehicle type but end up mainly for cars, the premium increased by 2.16 per cent to S$93,990.

The premium for two-wheelers decreased by 13.78 per cent to S$1,689 - the only category to register a significant fall.

Coe is reccord high now.. For the price of the car u paid 2 year ago, you can only pay for half of the paper now.

Not to mention the price of premium cars r higher than my house 20years ago n cars last 10years while house is 99years.

Sigh ... Coe increase, erp increase, road still jam, mrt overcrowded .... dunno what option we have .... sigh
