reefing hobby is basically dealing with one crisis after another....

bout a pbt from cf about a week ago and introduced marine ich into my tank! At first i thought he could fight the ich as he was feeding well but the pbt finally passed away this morning. Its death pushed me into action... caught the green and spotted mandarin who are both also showing symtoms and isolated them into my abandoned nano tank.. gonna start hyposalinity treatment soon...

bro i think it's best to have your mandarin back in the main tank!

These fish don't get Ich as they secrete an oily substance on their bodies. Their skin type and the oils secreted make them extremely sensitive to many medications. What may heal one species will more than likely kill a mandarin. So if your other fish develop ich, the mandarin is not to be put in to quarantine. Which is fortunate because it would starve to death if you did, assuming the medication didn't kill it first.

thanks bro but i'm pretty sure they have ich or some other parasite as they rub themselves on the sand and have a whitish stuff over them... i think the green mandarin sure goner but the spotted should live... btw i trained them myself to eat frozen brine and mysis so trying my best to save them despite them being cheap...

i want my main tank to be ich free so its fishless now....

Nice shallow tank. Liked!

After 2 years your tank glass still look so clean, must be very hardworking cleaning the back part often. Respect

i wanted to achieve a clear transparent glassy look from the start so i do scrape off all algea from the tank even coraline. Most difficult are the algea that grows on the clear silicon at the joints. Now i know why many bros go for black silicon.

wah juan u got some nice zoas in there! :-)

wah... king of zoas praise me. I feel proud.
