ID time...something not moving

Hi.. everyone out there , i just saw something near my powerhead . THAT thing is stick on my glass and it seems to be like algae to me but the funny thing is that it IS RED IN COLOUR. It shape is circle and is red in colour. IT is not moving so. should i scrap it off.. The size is quiet small like a 10 cent coin.. THANKS

could it be coralline algae... If so then there shouldn't be a problem scraping it off or any other thing for that matter

Details, pics, how to guess?? can be coraline, can be red algae etc.....

I have seen it in lots of fish farms like Cf in their tanks .. It is circle and red in colour... Is coraline agale good. Should i scrab it off?

Even if its good, with that location its on , I say scrape it off.. Unless it moves..

BUt is it good in the first place so next time if it grows again in a better location ,i will know what to do.

looks like a giant limpet

looks like the operculum of a turbo snail. Usually not seen. But they do have operculums.

Are you sure it's stuck on the glass? Pretty sure you can just pry it off using your fingernails. Should be a disc which feels plastic-like.
